Prof. Igor Petrushevski

is one of Europe’s leading violin pedagogues. Throughout his distinguished teaching career, Professor Petrushevski has mentored prizewinners of many of the world’s foremost international competitions, including the Tchaikovsky, Paganini, Long-Thibaud, Wieniawski, Heifetz, Khachaturian, Valsesia, Enescu and many other competitions. During his career his students have won more then 40 major international competitions.

Formerly a faculty member at Trinity College of Music and the Royal Academy of Music in London, Professor Petrushevski currently teaches at the Richard Wagner Konservatorium in Vienna and serves as an honorary professor at the Yerevan State Conservatory. His students have developed prominent careers as soloists, orchestral musicians, and educators around the world.

During this masterclass, selected violinists will receive individualized guidance on technique, interpretation, musical expression, and artistic development. Audience members will also gain a rare, close-up view of the teaching process—watching how thoughtful mentorship can uncover new possibilities within both a piece of music and the musician performing it.
