Tyron Montgomery

Oscar-winning animation-director, award-winning designer, patent-holding innovator, programmer, photographer, videographer, marketing expert, public speaker, teacher and entrepreneur, having co-founded more than a dozen companies in Munich, Paris and the Silicon Valley.

Tyron won more that 40 international awards for his first film "Quest", including the Academy Award and the Cartoon D'Or, the highest European animation award given to only one film per year. He started programming on the first available home computers and has been working as designer and marketing director for off- and on-line media for three decades.

His short animation "Our Garden" was the world's first stop-motion film for the movie screen recorded and edited entirely digital. His Silicon Valley start-up "iCharts" was awarded one of the 50 most innovative companies world-wide by TechCrunch. He is the youngest person in history to have received the Goethe Medal of Honor for his outstanding contributions to the cultural landscape of the federal state Hesse, Germany.

Tyron gave film lectures at international film festivals and as guest professor at various German universities, held keynote speaches about design concepts at leading venues such as the "BMW World" and regularly teaches visual effects at the Bavarian Academy of Television and the "Filmwerkstatt München". During the Corona pandemic he developed immersive online teaching formats and hybrid teaching concepts.

In his spare time, among many other things, Tyron organizes special-interest role-playing events for young people and coaches children with special needs.
