Project CliKK welcomes Peter Takács, a renowned Steinway Artist and Professor Emeritus at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, to our upcoming Project CliKK Piano Masterclass.
Hailed by The New York Times as “a marvelous pianist,” Takács is a renowned Steinway Artist and Professor Emeritus at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music. His lifelong dedication to the music of Beethoven has earned him international recognition, highlighted by his celebrated recording of the complete 32 Beethoven piano sonatas.
Takács has appeared as a guest soloist with major orchestras worldwide and at renowned festivals across Europe and Asia. A highly respected pedagogue, his students have won top prizes in major competitions and have been accepted to leading institutions such as the Curtis Institute, The Juilliard School, and the Peabody Conservatory. He has presented masterclasses around the world and has frequently served on juries for prestigious international competitions, including the Cleveland and Hilton Head International Piano Competitions, the San Antonio International Keyboard Competition, and the Canadian National Competition.
This masterclass offers young pianists a wonderful opportunity to work one on one with a distinguished artist-teacher known for his penetrating musical insight and communicative, vivid teaching style.
